we had a marvelous time anyway

Thanks to all who came out to our show last night at Mo Pitkin’s House of Satisfaction. Always a pleasure to see a full house enjoying this thing we do. At the risk of seeming immodest, we played very well!

Unfortunately, in our sky of dreams, there was a rain cloud: please accept apologies for our abbreviated set, and that of our friends Matt Keating and Emily Spray (who were gracious and wonderful).

Such events are usually beyond our control and last night was no exception. The club’s management failed to allow enough time after the early show ended to get us set up, resulting in a very late start. With another show slated to begin at 11 p.m. (three shows a night, too many, eh?), that resulted in the abbreviation of our set and that of Matt and Emily.

Ah the trials and tribulations of a band in the big city!
